After the record snow fall here, we had to go play! I showed you our house but I haven't shown you my kids playing...

Here are the pics from the day after the snowfall...
Adreana making a snow angel for the first time. I don't normally let them get all in the snow but thsi year we bought them snow pants so they were all in! How fun!!!
Her snow angel...
Benjamin helping his dad clear the driveway.

Climbing the snow mountain.
Getting hit by a snowball his dad threw at him... Or was it more like a snow chunk. This picture still makes me smile!

Everyone clearing the driveway.
A few days after. The snow was a bit tough but here is my 3rd kid making a snow angel...
My little boy trying to imitate his dad. As you can notice he wasn't heavy enough to break through the snow.

One of our Christmas traditions is to decorate gingerbread houses. This year however the kids found a kit with gingerbread people and they thought this would be a fun change. So even though we didn't get to do it before Christmas we had sooo much fun decorating. And I mean we... Jorge and I got to do a couple ourselves...

A bit sad because mom said he had to wait until she took a picture of his cookie before he could eat it... such a mean mommy...
Adreana's gingerbreadgirl.
Here is Benjamin's second cookie. It does look yummy no wonder he just couldn't wait!
Success! All smiles after here...
One of our gingerbreads suffered an amputation... So it immediately became Jorge's
Adreana couldn't make herself eat her own so she ate papa's...
Sure is yummy!
Jorge made the one on the right... and I just had to make him a gingerbread girl. :) They sure make a sweet couple don't they!

Forgotten Friday

I missed last friday and wanted to be sure not to miss this one... Another old Christmas picture!

A blizzard?

We had a record snow yesterday which let us enjoy a white christmas today! The kids went out for a while and enjoyed the snow. My only regret that it didn't wait to fall until my dad came so he could have enjoyed it with us!

Some pictures...

Yesterday afternoon Jorge opened up the garage to find this... Can you see how TALL that is! and it wasn't near over!!!
Jorge braved the cold to take a pic of our house while it was falling.
A picture of my birdie in my backyard just cause he looked so cute.
And today the work began! Look at all that snow!
The snow went all the way up to our bushes! Soo much snow.
Jorge wanted some pictures of our lights on through the snow. So he got some!

Another look of our house at night! Our snowman still came out.

Hoping you have a blessed Christmas this year and that you are surrounded by those you love. We are spending Christmas together, the 4 of us but we won't be opening presents this year on Christmas day because we are eagerly awaiting my parents to join us for new years!!! (well maybe just one)

Anyway may you have a blessed day and may you remember our Saviour today!

Early gift for me

Jorge gave me my Christmas present early. I had been looking at soft boxes for ages now and he surprised me a few days ago and I finally got to play with it yesterday and today so bear with me cause I have lots of cute pictures (any pics of my kids are cute!!!)

Lots of hot spots but look at that smile.

So many hot spots I had to make it black and white but I am loving the eyes!
Don't know what that smile is but getting better.
I like it! Look at that crooked grin! Ain't my boy cute?
cuddling in the couch with mono.
Wearing our spiderman slippers. So fun! (and yes I am aware his pj pants are way too small)

Another one of Adreana cuddling on the couch.

And my favorite of the bunch! A well loved mono!

Christmas gifts 09

As usual I make some gifts for our neighbors and teachers and I can't wait to share them with you....

As some of you remember we bought some cookie jars last year and so this year I filled them up with cookies to give... I have been so busy I didn't even take pictures of the cookies but here is one of the cookie jars. It was a whole lot of baking!

For the awana teachers I made some cake pops (using the recipe at bakerella.com) and I think they turned out ok and oh so yummy...

And for the cute kiddos in our lives we decided to buy the kohl's cares books from the "if you give" series that we love and made some thing yummy to go with them...

Christmas Programs

I have been kind of silent in our blog but mostly because we have been BUSY! I mean really busy. I feel like we are finally getting ready to breathe and then it dawns on me Christmas is right around the corner. The good thing about not having family around is that besides the kids we really don't do much Christmas shopping.
But getting back to my post: Adreana participated in our church's Christmas production... Lost and Found. She was the cutest snowman out there and danced her little heart out!

They practiced for days and she did great! No fear and all smiles.

But that is not all! The Awana program our kids participate in had a program and the Cubbies (Benjamin) and Sparks (Adreana) but on the Nativity... Here are the kids...

My shepherd boy

Up on the stage... he actually did pretty good!

My cutest little angel. She actually also had a line and performed beautifully!

My little angel. This was suppose to be a picture of both of them
but he insisted he needed to hug her. He loves her sooo much!
In the Awana program they also said their theme verse and sang away in a manger with sign language. They were so cute! I wish you could all have been here.
