Layout of the day

Like I said I haven't been digi scrapping (or any type of scrapping) much lately. This layout I started at the beginning of November and never finished until yesterday when we got back from our trip and then my biggest surprise! I made LOTD at DSP... http://blog.dsp.me/2009/11/layout-of-day-love-you-forever.html

Isn't my girl gorgeous. It was a nice lift me up for today... now of to get school started!

Layouts

I haven't shared layouts lately because I haven't been making any this month. I really need to catch up on the Picture a day one because I have been taking the pictures but someday I might have time :)! Anyway here are some...

I have been looking at old shoots and decided to use one of Gaby for this one.
And one of Jacob here.

This is a picture Marleny took last year at Adreana's party and
I have been waiting for the right time to use it and I finally found it.

DET layouts

Once again I decided to enter the DET layout, more for the free kits and the challenge than any expectations to win. I have entered 3 times and 3 times I have made it to the last round which is pretty cool if you ask me. Anyway one more time I didn't get to be on the team but it is forthe best because I really don't have the time to be doing it and I got some pretty neat layouts and kits from the deal. Anyway I loved my last round layout (which is so personal that the judges probably won't love) and I decided to share all of them with you so here goes...

Round 1:

Round 2:
Round 3:
Round 4: This last round we have to use the same pictures in two layouts so bear with me.

Layouts

I really need to go to bed but I wanted to post a couple of layouts since I haven't in a while. I haven't partly because I haven't been making any. I did want to post Adreana's layout so Marleny could see how much Adreana liked her party. I think she was a bit worried about the success so this should confirm that she is a top party planner! Anyway enough talk.. here goes:

And mine, One of my girl with my old camera. I enjoy going out and taking pictures with her so much. And she is so thoughtful already and thinks about each picture. I am going to have to show you some of her soon.

Fantasy layouts

Well life is slowly settling back to normal (whatever that may be). I have slowly been getting back into my hobbies too. I have been taking more pictures and learning about my flashes and I am scrapping a bit more also. I have been trying a different "style" lately that is know as fantasy layouts in the scrapping world. Here are 3 of my more recent ones... The first one made layout of the day at DSP so that was fun!

As usual for credits go to My gallery at DSP.
I have been updating the blog also. The kits used are by Nicole Young in case you are interested... her blog here

Adios Tio Chando. Feliz Cumpleaños Papa

I know I haven't posted in a while but life has been an emotional roller coaster the past couple of weeks.

First even though our trip to Honduras was stupendous, I had the scare of my life when the lady at the American Embassy said I needed more papers in order to get my visa. She asked for originals so I had to have Jorge FedEx me some and spent a great deal of my last week there having to work on that instead of enjoying my trip. I also got a great deal of fear which is not like me so I know it was an attack but we got through it and Praise God I got a different consul on my last visit to the embassy!!! So I am now home!

Today is also my father's birthday. Unfortunately today is also the day the Lord decided to take my uncle to be with him. He will be missed but we know he is in a better place and probably starting a soccer game as we speak. Adios Tio Chando, see you soon.

Anyway I have been busy making scrapbook pages (needed to get some challenges done - plus I missed it tons while I was away) and some have pictures from my trip to Honduras so I thought I would post some here:
A flower from my parents garden.
At the beach

Tela. I had forgotten how beautiful it really is.

Another flower from my moms garden.

One of my favorite pictures! My beautiful niece and my mom. I so enjoyed meeting this little one. It made all the embassy stuff and the tough moments with Tio Chando so worth it. Her smile lights up a room, especially when she was smiling at Benjamin. He still smile when he sees her picture.

Adreana made a layout

I have been frantically making layouts (even after I finished the year in review) and Adreana asked if she could make one with me today.

Here it is:

Make sure you click on it to read the journaling. She came up with it all by herself. She named it full of love. Isn't it precious. This is one of those keepers that I will have to pull out when they are teenagers and on each others last nerve. They are truly the very best friends.

Happy Thanksgiving

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We had a blast at ours. Especially because Nay and Dave took BOTH kids for a couple of days before thanksgiving and I got to have some much needed time to myself...

In which time I made a baby present for a friend and Like usual I have to share with you:

An altered Lunchbox and letter.

The dividers. The back says What I am doing this month and each divider has a month.

a teeny baby blanket with a cute felt elephant.

Some onesies cause he needed something to match the cute blanket.

I also have to share the layout I finished with a picture that I got of him. He is definitely adorable!

And some other layouts just cause I have them to show.

This is from a recent photo shoot. I just loved her smile in this picture. I have others I love from this shoot. Will have to post them soon.

Anyway now you know what I have been up to! Well almost!
