As usual I forgot

I forgot I told Adreana I would post a layout she did with me. She picked the picture and the placement of EVERYTHING. I couldn't even suggest because it was her layout. She also chose the journaling and the color. Pink was definitely not my choice. But I really do like it. Soon I won't be able to use the computer cause whe will be the one scrapbooking :)! Anyway I did suggest that we add but I love him. I am also going to post some of my new layouts that I did in November since I haven't. If you want to see the credits please go to http://www.mariafer.digitalscrapbookplace.com/.

Now if you scroll down past the pictures I will share a story about my forgetfulness that might have those of you with a mean streak laughing so hard you might want to make sure the bathroom is unocupied and those that love me getting me names of some good doctors.

okay so here is the story: Last Saturday that Jorge went to see a college football game with Dave, I decided that if he was getting the night off so should I and I would order Pizza. The kids were all up for it so I found an ad and proceeded to call. I place my order and gave my name and address and after asking me where my house is the guy says sorry you are not in our delivery zone try calling this number. So I call that number and same story except they call me to tell me they transfered my order to another location. Well that location calls and asks for the cross reference roads to my house and after I give them the guys says, "I don't know why they did it this isn't the place let me try another location." By this time I am fuming. It has been close to 30 min and my kids are getting hungry and I can't figure out why they can't just send me a pizza. Not that hard is it. Well after another call to another location they decide that the second location should take my order soooo... This very polite yound man from the second location calls me and by now I am ready to cancel my order and call someone else (which of course I had to tell him!) well this nice young man makes me repeat my address and cross streets and then says "Mam, I understand, but if you live where you say you do you can't have East in your address". I am like what is this dude talking about but since I don't know East from West (literally) I tell him, "Look I know where I live but if you want me to I am going to go look at a bill and see the address on it" And lo and behold when I look at the envelope I realize I had been giving them our previous address. Yes the one where we moved from 1-1/2 yrs ago! I FORGOT my own address! I very nicely apologized and gave him the correct address and in 20 min we had a warm pizza at our door. Jorge has pointed out that they probably spit on them but they tasted pretty good to me!

how long has it been?

Been a long time since I got on. This month has been crazy! It started and ended and I didn't even notice!

In my last post I told you we were sick... well it turned out that I had an ear infection and stuff in my right lung, Jorge had a sinus infection and Benjamin who knows but was better after a couple of days. A couple of weeks after that, just when I thought we were better, Adreana coughed all night and no one slept except Benjamin who always sleeps. When I took her to the Dr it turned out she had "walking pneumonia". He told me not to worry but abuela Ruth and Tia Tete worried for me anyway. I know pneumonia doesn't sound good but he gave her antibiotics and it was done. So that puts us half was through November.

Jorge had a trip with the guys from his accountability group that same week and then that Sunday (the 18th) we went to that Cafe on Route 66 were they were inspired to write the part for Sally (?) for the Cars movie in Stroud to eat and meet Dave and Nay. Adreana left with them for a few days until Thanksgiving when we joined her. And then it is the last week of November.

This week we have been trying to play catch up and are almost there. This has been the first week this month were I feel like I am almost there... except for laundry that after our trip seems to have piled up! Jorge then had a business trip to Dallas and now I am back were I started this week... oh well.

Where did November go! One minute I was starting November with all these plans and things to do and the next I am writing on the last day of November with the same plans and nothing done! I wish I had pictures of Thanksgiving and the kids but I don't. My life has been in caos mode since the beginning of the month and I haven't even taken pictures. Well I did take Joshua's and I did take some of Adreana so why don't I post a couple. I will post more of her in a later post but for now... just these two... The first one she is trying a pose with baby that I have done in my newborn shoots and then she is showing me an m&m.

Anyway I am trying to stop complaining but this month it has been tough. So this is the last you will hear about this month! No more complaining and now to look to the good... Manolo is coming to visit next week and Adreana and I are praying for snow. Manolo is praying that is doesn't so join whichever side you would like and please don't forget to pray for a safe trip. Can't wait to see him!

Weekend update

I know that I usually post on the weekend and I know that I owe you all the Halloween fun pictures from all we did last week... but we have been sick. Like I said before I was already sick but now I am really sick. Benjamin had a fever all day Saturday and we are not really sure what it was. We took him to the dr early saturday because our dr has an after hours clinics sat mornings and she thought it was croup... but then the stinky diapers started coming and we are pretty sure it was more his stomach than the cough that was bothering him. He has a pretty bad cough but I don't think that is what was bugging him... maybe has both. Sunday Jorge started getting sick with what we think is a sinus infection so both of us are going to the drs. Adreana thankfully is doing well, just a little bummed that we don't have the energy to play and do as she does (especially Benjamin).

And since I am talking about Adreana, I decided I wanted to share some pictures that she made. I think she is pretty good but then she is mine! Her teacher at MDO told her she was and artist and that is what sparked all her creativity lately. Her current obsession is staying in the lines. If you plan to give her a coloring book make sure it is a stay-in-the-lines coloring book because she is 4! :)

Don't think anything needs and explanation but just in case... The blue swirls around the kite is the wind. And the tall dude next to the tree is picking apples.

Don't know what the watch over was for but that is what she wanted me to write. The rest is a Birthday party with gifts, balloons and my favorite, a cake.

What happens when mama blogs?

Well I have a thousand and one things to do since I have been sick all week but I had to share with you I found after my long post yesterday. Adreana was with me here as both of them usually are. I should have suspected something was up but didn't... so anyway take a look...

No, I don't give my kids 4 lollipops at a time. I just forgot to put the left over Halloween candy away and Benjamin found it. I took all of them away (with a fight) except one. He was so proud of himself and pretty happy. No wonder I didn't here anything from him. Right now they are both in Adreana's room... yes I know what they are up to!

Happenings

As promised I am back to tell you about our life... It has been a busy life. A week ago Friday we went to stillwater on an improv trip (Jorge's favorite) to go to eat at Eskimo Joe's. (Did you know that their T-shirt is the second most collected in the world? First is Hard Rock Cafe's) Back to my story it would have been a great Friday get away except that on the way out I grabbed the jackets, the cups (Jorge HAD to bring them home for Angie and Mark) and forgot my purse. Didn't realize it until 10pm when we finally pulled into our driveway. So after calling the restaurant and making sure it was there we went to bed only to wake up early to drive back (a little over an hour) to pick it up. Jorge was not thrilled but knew I felt bad so he was actually very nice about it. He decided to make a trip out of it and after picking it up we went to see OSU and let the kids play in a real nice park around the area. In the afternoon Saturday we went to church because Jorge had to work the cameras.

Sunday we went back to church because Jorge had the cameras and I had to teach Adreana's Sunday School class. Upon arrival and after lunch. We all took a nap because we needed it. Then we went to Arcadia Park for their Story Book Forest trick or treating. The kids got in their costumes and we had a blast! The smoke and the trees didn't do too much for our allergies but it was fun.

Monday we got up and got ready for Bible Study. We ate lunch at the church because I didn't have much time before we had to drive to our church for the preschool fall play date. That is what they call their fall activity for preschoolers which involve crafts, snack, inflatables and a pumpkin. We drove straight from there to swim class where Adreana surprised us all by jumping all by herself into the pool. She didn't take in water for the first time. I was so proud. That would seem like it was a full day but at night I still went to my mentoring study. Busy day.

Monday night was one of the worst nights of my life. I couldn't sleep from my allergies. I realized I forgot to take them on Sunday and Monday morning and with all the running around I did I felt awfull. Slept about an hour. Jorge didn't get much sleep either :)! Thankfully Tuesday is a MDO day so I took the kids to school and then came home and edited pictures and vegged until 1:30 becuase it was party day at MDO and I had promised the kids I'd go. I went to Benjamin's class first and he was doing so nicely. He was sitting like a big boy and when a kid tried to take something away from him there was no yelling or pushing, he simply moved his plate and said no. Then I told him I was going to ho see Adreana and there was no crying just and ok and bye. Adreana was eating nicely at her table. I am glad I decided to stop by because every other mother was there in her class. I had felt pretty bad all day and completely forgot to talk to Jorge about the fall festival at Crossings that night. Unfortunately Adreana didn't forget and a little before 6 she came to me and asked "should we be putting on our costumes for the Fall Feshtival" I felt so awfull that I had forgotten and that I had not told her we were going that I called Jorge (who was getting food) and told him that as soon as he got home we were going. So we went to the Fall Festival and boy was it busy! But again the kids had fun.

Wednesday. Halloween. I felt worse than Tuesday! This time I had all the drainage stuck on my head. Still couldn't sleep that night but this time because I couldn't breathe. So I finished editing pictures - finally! We had a lazy day until swim class. And then we came home and made supper. Jorge stopped by the store for me so that I didn't have to go out again. We had a relaxed evening and Jorge took the kids trick or treating on our street. They loved it. We also took them to Ada and Luis's for our annual "let us show you how cute we look in our costumes" day. They don't celebrate Halloween so they let us show up only cause they love us! They had a plastic pumpkin full of treats and goodies for the kids and they could not believe their luck! I so wish I had had a camera with me. Their expressions were priceless!

And that takes us all the way to today! Thankfully it seems like things are getting back to be somewhat normal except for my health. But I finally decided to buy the netty potty and we shall see how that goes. More on that tomorrow!

Newborn - Lauren

Well finally got them all edited and ready. I had a such a hard time picking favorites that for you my friends I will show you a gazillion! Only the best 6 or 7 for the photo site! Hope you like them. Hopefully later today I will get to update you all on our life.

Let me know which one your fave one is. Mine are between the one with the butterfly and the one in the basket.
